The Nigerian government and military needs more support to combat and stop the terrorist group known as Boko Haram.
Founded 12 years ago, their attacks and rhetoric have grown more brutal. Since the abduction of more than 200 Nigerian women and recently the killing of potentially 2,000 innocent civilians in and around Baga, it is clear the Nigerian government is losing the fight.
Nigeria is a country of importance for not only Africa, but the United States as well. That is why we urge President Obama to look into sending more assistance to the Nigerian government and military to stop Boko Haram.
