As a Marine Veteran, and like many others, we are proud of our service. We sometimes find errors in our military records and just want it to simply be fixed and adjudicated. This Marine Corps Veteran, Thomas Joseph Smith Jr. (90 yrs old) in this story has been through hell and back during the battlefield in Marshall Island , and is simply asking that his records be corrected to show his honorable service. His current record shows he was AWOL when in fact he was receiving medical treatment for a back injury during this time. We should stand together and always have our brother and sisters' back. We are asking that the White House take a look into his case and properly correct his record as his last wish.
