Look into the new Waste-Annihilating Molten Salt Reactor design as a potential replacement for current US reactors.

Created by B.B. on March 18, 2013

The current US energy policy is unsustainable. We are currently over 60% dependent on coal and oil for all of our current power production needs.

While we are working toward new green technologies, they are either proving themselves situational at best (wind) or are still many years from becoming truly viable (solar, thermal, etc).

Nuclear can help, but the waste generated is extremely hazardous, and after the Fukushima scare, we need a reactor design that can help fix the waste problem and provide safer energy.

The WAMSR nuclear plant may be the answer.

I wish to petition the White House to include this design among the other plant designs used for new power plant creation in the USA.
