Our country would benefit from a bill that would pay Senate & House representatives for the days they are actually there, in session, and working on legislation. We waste money when they do not accomplish anything with their stalemates and go back to their districts mid-week. Individuals in the country are paid only for the days worked so should it be for our legislating body. Many serve to get the perks that they receive after one term, not to serve the public. We need to correct this injustice and get our government moving and out of its stalemate.
