We would like President Obama to look at purchasing the two Mistral carriers from France for the marines. This would allow the marines to have an extra capability for helicopter carriers as well as helping the country of France to have an opportunity to recoup the money from the carriers. We asked France not to follow through on the sale of the two mistral carriers to Russia and now is the time to help our allies in return. In all things being equal, the marines do have an honest need for this equipment and this is a win win situation for both our countries.
