look at reducing other entitlement programs besides Social security, such as placing a cap on tax-payer funded pensions.

Created by W.P. on February 22, 2013

Where was it ever written that it was the responsibility of the US taxpayers to support policemen, firemen, teachers, politicians, etc., completely, after so many years of service. This is what the public pension system is becoming. Too many people are entering retirement and making more money than they ever did when they worked. The public pension system is out of control. Place a cap of, say, $40,000/year on any single persons pension. If you are making enough money to earn a pension, even, this high you are earning enough to fund your own retirement. At least, with a cap, local, state and federal agencies can better budget their pension funds. Social Security is NOT the only entitlement where cuts can be made.
