Look at the strategic alliance with Japan

Putting whole hearted faith in Japan if a war breaks out with China and Russia does not seem logical. Japan is geographically close to China and Russia, If I was Russia and China and I was at war; Japan would be the first one to join the sides of the enemy or crushed immediately. From Japan's perspective if that happened they face the wrath of two Huge nations who would crush Japan and are geographically close their is a good shot they would betray us and they would be in a position to Hamstring us again( pearl harbor). Japan makes a good potentially ally but let's not put all our eggs in a very poorly made basket.
