The overuse of antibiotics has become a rampant problem all over the world and is leading to more and more resistant strains of bacterial infections. Bacteriophage therapy has been shown to be a more effective and practical practice than using antibiotics. Bacteriophages, for those who are unaware, are viruses that infect bacteria and cause them to self-destruct. The use of bacteriophages is much more practical due to the fact that, unlike antibiotics, they are able to evolve along with the bacteria. We the people need to rally around the development this method of treatment which has remained unapproved for human trials for decades.
