In 2008, "'Citing evidence of inadequate representation, prosecutorial misconduct, suppression of exculpatory evidence, and racial discrimination,' two Federal Judges overturned Albert Woodfox's conviction and ordered his release on bail pending the State’s appeal of the decision to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals."
Angola Warden Cain explains, "I would still keep him in CCR. I still know that he is still trying to practice Black Pantherism, because he would organize the young new inmates... It would be more than I could stand, and I would have the whites chasing after them. I would have chaos and conflict."
