Lower the 25yr import restrictions to 15 or less

Created by V.C. on January 19, 2015

The current law on the importation of nonconforming vehicles to the United States in accordance with the current law requires all imported vehicles to conform to NHTSA and DOT standards if less than 25 years old from date of manufacture and EPA standards if less than 21 years old. In order to streamline these processes, alleviate confusing legal jargon, and reduce CBP workload, we petition the US Govt to reduce these limits to vehicles of less than 15 years of age from date of manufacture.
