LOWER the Age of Medicare Eligibility

Created by J.S. on December 10, 2012

Currently, the Republican held House is negotiating to raise the age of eligibility for Medicare. This is fiscally irresponsible and will increase costs as illnesses will be discovered at later ages, and it will leave millions of American's vulnerable in their ability to obtain insurance. By lowering the age of Medicare eligibility, premiums could be paid into Medicare by all people above the age of 50, shoring up any cost shortfalls. This is a fiscally responsible approach to saving Medicare.
