We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Lower the age to purchase alcoholic beverages to 18

Created by D.S. on July 11, 2016

18 years old is the age of being a legal adult in the United States. At this age it is completely legal to join the military and risk your life for the country. Lowering the age would allow law enforcement to stop wasting time worrying about if a couple of teenagers were drinking instead of worrying about real crimes. Citizens under 21 drink anyway so why not make it legal? 45 states have laws that say if you have consent from parental consent and are on private property it is legal. The government could benefit from this by heavily taxing it until you're 21. For 18-21 year olds the tax could be 50-75%. Then once they reach 21 lower the taxes back to state level.
