We believe the age to qualify for Medicare should be lowered to 62 to coincide with the age at which we are able to retire and begin collecting Social Security. There are a vast number of people aged 62 and older who are continuing to work right now simply because retiring means losing their health insurance. Lowering the qualifying age would mean those hundreds of thousands of people would now be able to retire, making all of those jobs available almost immediately!
