Congress has done next-to-nothing to address the needs for job creation, poverty and lowering the tax burden on ordinary people. They are not functioning as a team, but rather playing a game of one-upmanship and letting the voices of petty groups stifle progress in these areas. The one area they can agree on is raising their salaries. It is time congress got a message for their poor performance.

Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future.
