This is a petition to lower the amount of money We the People pay our Leaders. Currently the president makes $400,000 a year with a $50,000 spending budget. Alot of Americans, especially military don't make near $50,000. The Vice Presidents annual income is around $225,500, while the secretary of the treasury makes about $191,300 a year. The Secretary of State makes near $187,000 a year. Our congressmen are pushing almost $175,000 a year while the heads of the senate and house make almost $20,000 more than that. This doesn't include how us tax payers are covering their transportation cost and other expenses.
Imagine how much money the nation could save if each and every politician took a 10% pay cut. It would be a minimum of ONE BILLION DOLLARS. This would help our national debt.
