Lower the Amount of Time Given to the American Election Process.

This petition would lower the time given to the election process for the presidential election. People start campaigning soon after the president has just been elected, and they spend billions of dollars on a campaign to promote themselves. It is a waste of resources, time, effort, and it is a huge distraction from actually running the country. This petition would prohibit people from campaigning until six months before the president is voted for, rather than four years.
