Lower and/or refine standards by which being accepted for Disability insurance can be applied AND accepted for.

Created by V.T. on November 14, 2012

I believe the government needs to refine and better establish a clear standard of what is legally a disability, as well as not turning away those with a legitimate claim to a disability.

A recent study shows that on average 60+ % of people who apply for disability insurance, who have a legitimate disability claim, are turned down, no matter what their disability is. There are studies that show that more than 30% of people who are accepted to receive disability insurance, do not actually have a major disability and/or are relatively financially stable.

My petition asks for the government to do more in depth background checks of applicants and to also stop or even just lessen the amount of applicants that are turned down for whatever reason the government can claim against giving aid.
