For too long we have sat and allowed a legislative branch of government do nothing but line their pockets. The job is a volunteer election process and it seems like the same men and women who are supposed to make laws and balance budgets for the nation are refusing to do their job. Lower their pay to reflect the volunteer position that it is.
Why should they get paid more than the men and women in the armed forces? They don't risk their lives, I won't say that their job isn't as important but I see no reason for them to make upwards of 200,000+ annually while our men and women who are protecting and risking their lives are making barely 20k a year.
