Lower Congress's Pay dramatically and eliminate their free healthcare benefits!

In order to help solve the American economic deficit, I propose a dramatic decrease in congress pay and the elimination of their free benefits. I find this to be a suitable reparation to the economy considering free benefits are the very thing that congress keeps trying to take away from the rest of us. Why should they sit high and mighty with their exorbitant paychecks and still receive free healthcare, when there are millions of Americans barely scraping by to provide for their families who cannot afford even the most nominal of healthcare? This deduction could be returned to the American citizens and the money saved could make a huge impact in the lowering of the national deficit!
