Lower the consumption age of alcohol to either 18 or 19 years of age.

This petition is to ask that the Obama Administration to lower the alcohol consumption age to be lowered either to 18 or 19 years of age. It has been made evident that the current age is a joke. People go out and drink regardless of the current age; however, as seen in several other countries, people grow up not thinking alcohol is a taboo. In turn, removing the need to taste of the forbidden fruit. People may think that this will contribute to younger kids having access as well, but, if that is the case, we implement harsher punishments on such behaviors and for drunk driving. It is also ridiculous that people who are willing to give up their lives for this country are only allowed to drink on bases. What a joke? This is the way we repay them, by not letting them relax with a nice beer.
