College costs are unaffordable for many United States citizens. The US economy has been frequently decreasing, causing even more problems for people to afford college expenses. Many families have one or more family members who have been let go from their job, which means incomes have been decreasing. Many families in the United States are just barely making it by each and every day, so to add college expenses on top of it all; it is very overwhelming. What happens to the kids who come from families in poverty? Yes, many of those kids get scholarships and financial aid, but these do not always cover the full cost. I think it would be very beneficial for the people of the United States if the government lowered the cost of college or provided better financial aid.
