Lower the drinking age to 18

The drinking age in our country should be lowered. As studies have shown in the US we have more alcohol related problems than any other western civilization. This is because by the time we are allowed to legally drink it is such a culture shock that on peoples 21st birthdays they go all around town partying and consuming very unsafe amounts of alcohol. The reason they you would lower the age to 18 instead of 19 or 20 is that for most Amaricans they will still be with their parents. Therefore giving most American youth at lest a month were they can be supervised by their parents and be taught safe drinking habits. So that then they will not go out and intoxicate themselves to unhealthy levels. That is why you should sign this petition.
