The current drinking age of 21 is a form of Prohibition and violates the rights of legal adults age 18-20. The law is insulting, suggests that young adults age 18-20 are an inferior age group, and are incapable of making their own decision to have a drink. The law does NOT prevent underage drinking. It encourages it. The "forbidden fruit" view of alcohol is indeed the problem in the U.S. Eliminating the "binge culture" in the U.S. is what it will take to save lives. Not a high drinking age. Loss of highway funding is the true reason why each state raised their drinking ages. Stop denying legal adults their rights because of that. After 30 years, we've had enough of this unjust law.
