Lower the drinking age to 19 years old

Created by J.D. on October 15, 2015

The current drinking laws in the United States are not only unfair, but also ineffective. According to the Washington Post, 80 percent of underage college kids drink and of those students, only a few are given underage drinking tickets. Underage drinking tickets not only impact a students finical situation, but also their ability to get a job in the future. Our country, in comparison to the rest of the world, has one of the highest drinking ages. Studies by CNN show that higher drinking ages lead to more dangerous drinking activities such as binge drinking. If you can fight and die for your country at 18 then you should be allowed to have a beer.
