Lower the drinking age

Created by D.S. on January 31, 2014

The drinking age in this country is abnormally high in comparison to our worldwide counterparts. I am not suggesting lowering it too substantially, but to a more reasonable age. The age I suggest would be a very logical age of eighteen years of age, which traditionally was considered the norm. The drinking age should not be mandated on a state governmental basis, but in turn should be governed on a national basis, considering the minor differences between each state law are so insignificant that nationalizing the law would not change the policies in almost any way what so ever. Also, you can buy cigarettes at 18, and in some realms, that's even more harmful to people. Do the smart thing, America.
