I petition to lower the drinking age to 20. This is only one year younger than 21. People, in general, are as responsible at 20 as they are at 21. This allows the government a broader audience in which to tax for the alcohol. This would also lower the amount of drunk drivers on the road by eliminating some people who try to cover up underage drinking by driving home by themselves. Lowering the drinking age by only one year could have outstanding results in our community and government.
