Lower the drinking age from 21 to 18 on the basis of providing freedom of choice and personal responsibility.

The decision in 1984 by the Federal Government to withhold highway funding to states without a minimum age of 21 is a decision which undermined states' individual rights to regulate alcohol within its own borders and took away the right to choose to drink from millions of people nationwide. People of 18 are allowed to make decisions themselves and are seen in the eyes of the government as legal adults and should be given the responsibility to buy and consume alcohol.
