The idea of this petition is simple. Why can people who are 18 enlist in the armed services and defend our country, but they are not allowed to pick up a beer? Tobacco is allowed to be consumed as well, but drinking is not. It makes sense to legalize the consumption of alcohol because in the end it could cause less alcohol related issues like underage drinking and possession. Turning 18 marks the time in someone's life when they become an adult, but limiting what they are allowed to do makes no sense.
