Lower the drinking age for beer to 19.

Created by T.M. on July 22, 2015

18 is the legal adult age in the U.S. You can buy a gun, enlist in the military and vote. But a lot of 18 year olds are still in highschool. To combat this, lowering the drinking age to 19 will not allow kids in highschool to drink legally just yet. But will help curb the binge drinking that occurs from 18-20. At 18, you'll be allowed to drink at a bar or restaurant with a parent or legal guardian present to help learn the social aspects of alcohol. At 19, you will be able to purchase beer legally and at 21, liquour. This would help ease young adults into drinking and helping to teach about proper respect when it comes to alcohol.
