Lower every politician's salary to the average American's salary: $26,000 a year.

It should be mandatory that every politician, from governor to senator to congress to the president should have their salary cut to that of the average American individuals' salary: $26,000 a year. Unless they are selfish and only think for themselves instead of the good of the country. Maybe then, would they actually understand what the average American goes through instead of "saying they do and understand" to get your vote.
