Lower the expensive $250 Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act's Surcharge for Investment/Rentals. $250 fee unfair

Created by E.C. on April 03, 2015

H.R.3370 Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act of 2014 is "unaffordable" to investment, rental or 2nd home Owners. Congress & The White House approved a $250 additional surcharge fee which is added to the insurance policy of $350+. Owners who have several rental properties can't afford an additional $250 per home + insurance amount. The fee for your main residence is only $25 surcharge, but a Rental would be $250 more. Owners of rentals also keep other types of insurance on rentals, so to add this burden is unfair especially when the Owners are taking good care of their properties, pay high taxes & then get hit with an outrageous surcharge. Please write your Congressmen & The White House asking them to greatly Lower the $250 Surcharge Fee or folks will opt out of flood insurance.
