Lower the Federal Drinking Age from 21 to 18.

Created by R.S. on November 03, 2014

The National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 was widely considered a turning point in American History. Drunk Driving related incidents decreased sharply resulting in a safer America. It was a time when there was no such thing as seat belts or cell phones or air bags. Fast forward to 2014 and we have vehicles that can parallel park themselves. There is not one car that has a lower number than 10 air bags securely installed. Education of drunk driving is at an all time high wether its a commercial or in school. Since 1982 Drunk Driving deaths have declined 53%. From 1991 to 2012 Under 21 Drunk Driving Deaths declined 60%, while 21+ only declined 35%. Children are smarter and technology is more advanced. The world has evolved tremendously and laws should follow in the footsteps.
