Today, in order to get a job, you must have a college degree. While in school, you are told, 'if you want a well paying job, continue your education.' And so we students, do. To pay for college, many have to rely on federal loans. All students with student loans understand that they have to pay the loans back- no one will deny that. But how will it ever be possible if the interest rates are so high and the jobs are so scarce? For those of us lucky to find a job- most cases not in the field of study we've invested time and thousands of dollars into, we are not offered a salary that can afford $600/month school loan payments, as well as other living expenses. In order for the government to get their money back, interests rates must be lowered to 2% across the board.
