Currently at Spearfish School disrict 40-2, the grading scale is outragous, to get an A in a class you need to get 96%. To get an A in most schools is 92%. This petition will lower the grading scale to to get an A 92% .
The grading scale at the school was raised to make the students work harder, and to make it hard for you to get an A in the first place. This is a redundence for the fact that if the school wants to make it harder for you to an A on your report card. To expect the students to try harder is an false assumption. The majority of the students are simply incapible to reach the overtly high expectations.
