Make the 'Land of the Free' the land of the free again! The United States Incarceration rate is the highest in the world. This is not because Americans are more prone to violence than people in other countries, but because US laws are less forgiving. Comparative analysis of various legal systems in the world shows crime rate is not affected by severity of laws.
Also most people incarcerated are African American. Given that not most Americans are black, this speaks of great injustice.
Make the laws more humane and educate law enforcement about racism.
