Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the US and thousands of people are diagnosed every year. Out of these people, approximately 10-20% are under the age of 40. With the initial screening age being 50, these stats will continue to rise. This cancer is completely preventable if there is early detection! We need to lower the screening age to 25 for everyone to impede this from spreading. We need to get insurance companies to cover related screening tests for people under 50. Our voice needs to be heard to act on this disease and potentially save people's lives!
