Lower the interest rate on Parent PLUS student loans.

Created by S.K. on December 18, 2012

Currently the interest on Parent Plus student loans is a fixed 7.9% which is more than current mortgage rates, car loans and even some credit cards. It is unfair the government to charge such a high interest rate and burden families who what to help their children pay for increasingly expensive undergraduate college education. Let us petition for the interest rate on PLUS loans be similar for what banks pay to borrow from the Federal reserve or at least be the same as the current mortgage rates.
