Currently, Stafford educational loans are the primary way undergraduate and graduate students, including medical students, pay for their education. Last year,the government discontinued subsidized loans and no effort has been made to made to make education more affordable. The interest rate remains 6.8% despite interest rates in all other areas dropping well below 5%. Please consider offering more competitive rates to encourage educational pursuits.
