My wife and I currently have student loans. We both graduated from our college and went on to do our career job that we went to college for. However, student loan payments have hinder our budget, along with countless other people who have student loans.
Let's say an average couple together has $100k in student loans. That is near $6k - $7k a year they are just paying on interest! That comes out to be about $575 a month just for interest payments! $575 a month is a house payment!
I believe student loan interest should be lower. In turn, it would help the economy grow in all areas with the money couples would be saving yearly!
I would like the Obama administration to take a look at this serious issue, and address it, and make a change! What ever happened to, "YES WE CAN"!
