Lower the legal age of an apprenticeship or trainee-ship to 14 so that more young people can utilize craft skills.

Created by A.G. on March 27, 2014

I feel as though a lowering of the legal age of apprenticeship would help American youth.

This could help by sparking interests in industrial manufacturing helping to create future jobs and help to increase the contribution of industrial sector reestablishing America as an Industrial power, we currently produce 22.1% less than half of China's 46.9%.

It could even help to drop unemployment rates by again helping young people gain an interest in manufacturing careers. I myself am a teen and feel as though this could be a good opportunity for my peers by giving them a skill to fall back upon if college is not an option creating a level job field for college graduates and high school graduates
