Once you turn 18 you are given major responsibilities, you are allowed to vote and are eligible for war. At 18 since you're considered an adult you should have the right to chose if you want to consume alcohol at your own risk. Alcohol can be dangerous but so can war, there should be no reason why anyone 18 or older can go to war and face dangers everyday but not legally enjoy an alcoholic beverage at their own risk. Another thing is that most, accidents in which alcohol is involved could have been prevented if young adults were more experienced with alcohol.People who are 18 should be able to drink in public and not worry about being punished for it, it is better if they consume it in a safe responsible environment rather than doing it once at a party without having no experience with it.
