The legal drinking age across most state, except in a few state, is 21. This means anyone under that age is subject to civil punishment for possession or consumption of alcohol. This is unfair for those who serve in the military who are under the age of 21, who fight and possibly die for the freedom we love dearly in this nation. But yet, if an active member under 21 returns home and is caught with alcohol, they are punished for it. We also encourage people in college to go and spend $40,000 or more in loans and dig themselves in debt, but punish them for drinking alcohol. Strongly encouraging them to go to schools to "make them successful." Look at many European nations who have low drinking ages if you want to get a feel of what lowering the age might be like, and trust me, it's not bad.
