If an 18 year old can be prosecuted as an adult according to our judicial system and isn't considered a minor when it comes to criminal matters, why are they considered a minor when it comes to alcohol? Additionally, they are able to join the military and risk their lives in combat for the nation, but cannot legally enjoy alcohol. I find this wrong and to be a tremendous double standard. Get rid of the law that denies states transportation funds if they don't make their drinking age 21, demanding it be lowered. If you do not choose to do that, then make the age for Selective Service 21 and make the age of being prosecuted as an adult in court 21 as well. Let's have one standard across the board when it comes to considering someone an adult and granting them the privileges thereof.
