Lower the legal voting age to 16.

Created by C.P. on March 11, 2016

Minors have an opinion, ideas, and legal right when it comes to our gov't., and those that operate within it for them "The People of The United States". It is our opinion that minors have the ability to make as much of, and sometimes more of, an informed decision when it comes to issues concerning our nation than many adults do. With public/private education, social media, and the political influences available to all, including minors, many have formulated political opinions and desire to voice them through exercising their voting rights. However, since competence, life experience, and political knowledge isn't required for adults to vote, these also cannot be reason to bar minors from doing the same. Women as well as our black citizens have long had this right, and minors should too!
