Since the 1700s the minimum age to run for president has been age 35. With the significant improvements in the medical industry increasing life expectancy and the improvements made in our educational system since the days of our country's founding, the need for such a requirement is irrelevant in today's society.
There are many great inspirational, intelligent, and honest men and women suitable for the presidency to continue this country's great legacy far into the future. Why are we preventing these young, intelligent, vibrant, creative leaders from taking our country to the next level?
It is unfair to be denied the right to run because it's assumed we lack intelligence, maturity, and experience.
This petition humbly requests that we lower the age requirement to the age of 25.
