lower the minimum working age to 14 with no restrictions unless needed.

There are a plethora of kids going through poverty that would love to contribute to their parents financially but cannot because the labor laws don't allow them to work. Currently in the US the poverty rate remains at high levels: 15% of all Americans and 21.8% for childern under 18( according http://nclej.org/poverty-in-the-us.php). If the labor force was decrease the age and increase the amount of hours a diligent and hardworking child could work then that child would be able to increase the total income in the household, lowering the poverty rate significantly. My colleague and I request the Obama administration lower the legal unrestricted working age to 14 so teens can contribute to decreasing poverty in the US.
