Lower the national drinking age to 18

Created by R.M. on January 11, 2016

With our reform, the American population of people that are under 21 years of age will have the right to enjoy the consumption of alcohol. When an individual turns 18, they are granted the title of adulthood in our society and are granted specific rights and responsibilities. Some of these responsibilities include: the right to smoke cigarettes, the right to get married, the right to vote, and the right to be enlisted into the United States military. With the status of adulthood, the citizens that are under 21 should have the right to make their own decisions regarding what they consume and how to regulate their health. The minimum drinking age of 21 has been largely ineffective as many teens drink illegally regularly. Teens are already drinking, let them enjoy in a safe, legal environment.
