This petition is asking that the national minimum drinking age in the United States be lowered from 21 years to 18 years. At 18 years old, a person can buy tobacco, skydive, gamble, enlist in the military, be convicted as an adult, work in a bar, vote, pay taxes, and many more.... but they can't drink alcohol. Anyone who can enlist in the military or work in a bar should be able to purchase and drink alcohol. Making laws to punish people who drink alcohol while under 21 is immoral, rather they should be educated in the dangers of excessive drinking and drinking while driving. This petition asks for the right thing to be done.
