Lower pay of each Congressperson to the average pay of teachers of the same tenure of the Congressperson's home state.

Created by C.J. on March 11, 2015

In business, people paid according to how they do their job. I propose that since education and politics get very different funding, raises and pay that congress obtain the same pay rate as a teacher(in the classroom, not a superintendent) of the same tenure in the home state the congressperson is from. No other income is permitted, including lobbyist, book deals, buildings in their name paid for by other interests, etc. Two things will happen, schools will get more money because they are tied to the pay and less money in the congressperson's hands will lead to less corruption with the added restrictions.
