Lower the pay of members of congress/ senate to ensure that members run to serve the people, not for monetary gain.

I call for the re adjustment of pay for the Congress and Senate. It is believed that those holding office due so to make considerably more than other Government jobs, and receive a lifetime of income based on a few years of service rather than do so to truly serve the American People.
Income should be lowered significantly to ensure that the position is held by individuals wanting to get the job done. It is important that members of Congress and Senate understand that the people of this great country will no longer sit by and allow them to do absolutely nothing while being paid by the American people. No other Government job allows such lack of progress, this should be no different. Officials should make no more than 100k, work travel expenses included.
